an intimate wedding for two on the beach, to an elaborate wedding and reception
for 1500 guests, we will provide all the services for a stress free destination
wedding. We are dedicated to personalized and professional services with no
hidden costs. Listed below is a list of frequently asked questions by couples
regarding our wedding coordination services.
Why do I
need a wedding coordinator for my wedding or vow-renewal?
A wedding coordinator oversees the arrangements of your wedding or vow-renewal
services leading into the event day. Your wedding coordinator determines the
overall time line of the day and is also your liaison with all professional
vendor services arranged for, or by the clients in accordance with the clients
requests. Aloha Bridal Gallery has years of experience in suggesting the best
venues for your event, the most experienced professionals in photography, video,
music, florals, catering, transportation, and just taking the stress off your
hands in planning a destination wedding.
When should
I book my wedding or vow-renewal?
Most of our weddings and vow-renewals are scheduled 2 to 12 months in advance,
though some are reserved less that a week in advance. It is suggested that you
book your wedding or vow-renewal as early as 6-8 months before the event day, if
you wish to reserve a particular date, time, and site location.
Weddings
and vow-renewals are scheduled daily. Weddings and vow-renewals scheduled on
Sundays are normally performed in the late afternoon. Weddings or vow-renewals
scheduled for Holidays (Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve,
Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) are charged a Holiday Rate which
will be added to the wedding package price of your choice. Full payment for
these Holiday weddings and vow-renewals must be received 60 days prior to
scheduled date.

How do we
obtain a Beach Permit for our Wedding?
Beach Weddings - All weddings that are held on Oahu beaches involve obtaining a
beach permit prior to the wedding date. Your wedding planner will obtain this
permit for you prior to the wedding date and go over all details with you based
on the number of guests and any set up involved for your beach wedding.
State of Hawaii beach permit fee
$20 minimum; plus $5 for each guest.
The permit
process involves the following:
- Fee
based on the amount of square footage needed
- Liability insurance
- Tax Map Key of the beach area
What happens
if it rains on the event day?
Aloha Bridal Gallery offers the following options for you as we do check the
weather forecasts leading up to the event day.
-
We
can move your ceremony to a church, provided the church is available. Rental
of church $450.00.
-
Move the wedding to a drier location.
-
Postpone your wedding to another day, provided all vendors involved are
available.
-
Work around the weather using umbrellas.
Are
rehearsals offered?
Wedding rehearsals are offered at an additional fee should clients desire one.
It is suggested that clients having a large wedding and reception at a church or
private venue may want to consider this option. This insures that all involved;
bride and groom, bridal party, minister, coordinator, and musicians are familiar
with the logistics leading into the event day.
Do you sell
the copyrights to the digital photography packages?
Our photography packages do include the copyrights to the digital images. Our
professional photographers provide coverage of your wedding or vow-renewal in
digital photography. For Canada and International Destinations an additional
postage charge will be added to your digital photography packages. Custom
Digital Photography packages are available upon request for larger weddings and
receptions.
We are
interested in video coverage and are not sure whether we want coverage in
DVD/Edit or DVD/Raw Footage. What are our choices?
We offer both. For DVD/Edit the finished tape is approximately 20-30 minutes
long unless you are adding additional coverage of the event. The DVD/Edit
version consists of additional footage of Oahu as well as music (3 songs) and is
sent to you postage paid in the US. Receipt of the DVD/Edit version takes
between 2-6 weeks to receive. DVD/Raw Footage is provided to you unedited after
the wedding. The DVD/Raw Footage consists of no additional footage of Oahu or
music. We also offer pre-wedding coverage, reception coverage, photo collages
that may be added to your DVD at an additional hourly rate. Rush Delivery and
PAL conversion are available at an additional charge. Additional copies of the
DVD/Edit and DVD/Raw Footage are available for an additional charge. For Canada
and International Destinations an additional postage charge will be added to all
DVD packages and copies.
